Using SFTP

For districts looking for a little more automation, Benchmark offers an option to import CSV files into Tech Admin using a third-party FTP client that supports SFTP, such as FileZilla. This option can be chosen when discussing rostering methods during the district’s initial onboarding process, or existing customers already using CSV import can contact Tech Support.

The CSV templates that are downloaded from Tech Admin are populated and stored by the rostering administrator(s) in a static local file directory. Any changes that are made to the files can be immediately ‘pushed’ to Tech Admin using the SFTP client. Benchmark will import the data files within 2 hours of the push.

All four CSVs (Schools, Teachers, Students and Classes must ALWAYS be uploaded together when a change is made to ANY one CSV. School Admins and District Admins file can also be included but are not required.
